SS-31 Calculator

Unit conversion for a reconstituted vial: mg → mcg/mL → mL → U-100 syringe units. Nothing is pre-filled or recommended.

Regulatory status

Vials sold as "SS-31" research peptides are not FDA-approved drug products and have no FDA-approved dose. Anyone using a prescribed elamipretide product should follow its official prescribing information and their clinician.

How the math works

  1. Vial amount in mcg = mg × 1,000.
  2. Concentration (mcg/mL) = vial mcg ÷ diluent mL.
  3. Volume (mL) = amount entered ÷ concentration.
  4. U-100 units = mL × 100.

Arithmetic example only (not a dose): 50 mg in 5 mL = 10,000 mcg/mL, so one U-100 unit holds 100 mcg.

This table is pure arithmetic (concentration per unit), not a dosing chart. See also the reconstitution calculator and mcg to units chart.

FAQ

Is SS-31 FDA-approved?

Vials sold as "SS-31" research peptides are not FDA-approved drug products and have no FDA-approved dose. If you have a prescribed elamipretide product, follow its official labeling and your prescriber, not this page.

Does this page give an SS-31 dosage or dosage chart?

No. This page is a calculation tool only. It converts the numbers you enter into concentration and U-100 syringe units and does not suggest any dose, schedule or protocol.

How is the math done?

Vial mg × 1,000 = mcg. mcg ÷ diluent mL = mcg/mL. Entered amount ÷ mcg/mL = mL. mL × 100 = U-100 units.
